PlatinumGames hopes to share Bayonetta 3 update sometime in 2021
Bayonetta 3 has been in development for a while now, but we've heard very little about the game since its announcement in 2017.
But fans keen on an update on the Switch-exclusive title might have some good news later this year, however.
In an interview with Hamster's Arcade Archives feeds, Hideki Kamiya, the infamous lead developer of Platinum, was asked about the progress made in the highly-anticipated action game.
"We've been working on new stuff like Bayonetta 3, not that I can say too much ... but hopefully we can give an update during the year," the developer replied, according to a Nintendo translation. Everything.
Previously, Kamiya was a bit blunter when it came to addressing fans concerned about the title's progress. Whether telling worried fans to "throw their concerns out the window immediately" or simply stating that development was "going smoothly," Kamiya wasn't really keen on sharing any updates on the game. before.
Bayonetta 3 was first revealed in 2017 in a trailer played during that year's Game Awards showcase.
The trailer offered no release date and only confirmed the exclusivity of the Nintendo Switch platform, so fans are understandably hungry for any news on the project.
Hopefully this year - more than three years since its reveal - we finally learn more about the mysterious game.
