Some key details about BioWare's upcoming sequel have been revealed in BioWare: Stores and Secrets from 25 Years of Game Development, a new art book that takes readers on a tour of the colorful history of BioWare.

Eurogamer managed to get their hands on the book and recorded a key entry from Dragon Age in its pages which confirms that “the long-awaited follow-up to Dragon Age: Inquisition […] will bring players to Tevinter as the events of Inquisition and Trespasser threaten to change Thedas forever.

This location has been brought up before, thanks to the end of the Inquisition and the events happening in the aforementioned Trespasser DLC. We won't write spoilers here, but the narrative beats in the DLC and the story threads revolving around the divisive elf, Solas, point to Tevinter as the next key location in the world.

Eurogamer points out that there may be more locations in the game suggested by the book. "The illustration of a glittering city surrounded by water almost certainly shows Antiva City, the capital of Antiva, an area that borders Tevinter in the east," says Tom Phillips.

“Concept art of an Antivan Crow is also featured; a theatrical assassin "celebrated for his mastery of elegant murder" who wears an elaborate mask, wields a glowing sword, and has several raven henchmen. "

Dragon Age 4 has been in development for a few years now and was first teased at the Game Awards in 2018 before being properly featured on Gamescom's opening night in August of last year.

EA has said that it expects Dragon Age 4 to arrive in 2022 or later, so don't get too excited about what you see here just yet.
